Netflix just dropped a new teaser for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, offering fans a first look at what’s to come in the popular sci-fi horror show.
The streaming service announced that the show will conclude with its fifth season, which will be released in three parts later this year.
The new season will consist of eight episodes. Netflix will release the first four on November 26th, followed by three more on December 25th. The final episode will premiere on December 31st. The Duffer Brothers are back as producers, along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.

The show will bring back its original stars for the new season, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and the younger cast members like Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, and Jamie Campbell Bower.
Amybeth McNulty, previously a guest star, is now a series regular. Linda Hamilton has also joined the cast.
Picking up a year after the events of Season 4, in the fall of 1987, the story finds the group working to stop Vecna after the Rifts appeared in Hawkins. Things get even harder when the military arrives and starts pursuing Eleven. With the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance looming, the friends must prepare for one final, dangerous battle.
The new motion poster has gotten fans excited, giving them a first glimpse of the next season. Splitting the final season into three parts seems like a strategy to keep people watching over the holidays and create buzz for the very last episode.
