Netflix has canceled its Spanish series, Olympo, and it won’t be back for another season, according to What’s on Netflix.
I recently watched this show that started airing on June 20th, and it really pulled me in. It’s set at this high-performance training center in the Pyrenees mountains, and it’s all about the lives of these young athletes. It wasn’t just about the sports themselves, though – it really showed the huge amount of pressure they’re under and the sacrifices they make to succeed, and also gave a glimpse into their personal lives outside of training. It felt very real and compelling.
The show starred Clara Galle as Amaia Olaberria, a dedicated artistic swimmer, with supporting roles played by Nira Osahia, Agustín Della Corte, Nuno Gallego, María Romanillos, and a talented ensemble cast. Ibai Abad, Ana Vázquez, Marçal Forés, and Daniel Barone all directed episodes.
According to the Spanish social media account Previously Serie, Clara Galle and Agustín Della Corte haven’t been contacted about returning for another season six months after the show’s release, and the actors are now working on other projects. This information has been confirmed by both Netflix and the website TuSubtitulo.
Big news for fans of the Netflix series Olympo! Unfortunately, the show has been cancelled and won’t be returning for a second season. Neither Clara Galle nor Agustín Della Corte have been contacted about continuing their roles, even six months after the show first premiered. It appears the production teams are already disbanding.

After its initial release, there were rumors about a second season of Olympo being in development, but Netflix stated they hadn’t made a decision yet. The show proved popular worldwide, remaining in the global top 10 for five weeks and accumulating 113.3 million viewing hours with 17.7 million accounts finishing the series.
The show was a daily top 10 hit in 78 countries and stayed in Spain’s daily TV top 10 for over 36 days. However, Netflix has decided not to renew it for another season.
Olympo was created by Jan Matheu, Laia Foguet, and Ibai Abad. The series centers around a group of talented young athletes vying for sponsorships from the major brand, Olympo, while also striving for success in their respective sports. It blends the intensity of competition with the complexities of personal lives – including friendships, rivalries, and romantic relationships.
