Netflix has released the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer and officially announced the release date, with Adam Sandler back as the hard-swinging golfer. The sequel hits the streaming service on July 25 and brings together original cast members and a new lineup of stars.

Sandler Returns Alongside Familiar Faces
Happy Gilmore 2 sees Sandler reunite with Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and Ben Stiller, all of whom appeared in the first film. Also joining are Sadie and Sunny Sandler, Blake Clark, and music star Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio).
The film will also include Travis Kelce, Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutowsky, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and Philip Fine Schneider in new roles.

Netflix added a mix of real-life golf pros to the cast of Happy Gilmore 2, including:

Creative Team Behind the Sequel
Sandler isn’t the only one returning. Original co-writer Tim Herlihy is back to write Happy Gilmore 2. The first film’s director, Dennis Dugan, is an executive producer. Longtime Sandler collaborators Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds produce.
Kyle Newacheck, who worked with Sandler on Murder Mystery, is directing.
Where the First Film Left Off
The original Happy Gilmore ended with Happy defeating Shooter McGavin and saving his grandmother’s house after a chaotic golf season. He went from a failed hockey player to an unlikely golf hero, with help from characters like Chubbs Petersen (Carl Weathers) and his loyal caddy (Allen Covert).
While plot details for the sequel are still under wraps, Happy Gilmore 2 looks to revisit that energy with a new story and modern setting.
