Netflix unveiled an initial glimpse of the eagerly awaited second season of their live-action version of the popular anime series, One Piece.

At the yearly One Piece Day event held in Tokyo, Japan, sneak peeks were unveiled, showcasing the arrival of characters like Laboon, Smoker, and Nico Robin/Miss All Sunday, along with fresh locations and anticipated battles. The broadcaster additionally confirmed that the upcoming season, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, is set to debut in 2026. The show’s tagline states:

The pirate saga ONE PIECE on Netflix resumes for its second season, bringing tougher opponents and more treacherous missions. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hats, embark on an epic voyage to the Grand Line – a legendary sea path filled with both danger and wonder. As they navigate through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s most coveted treasure, they’ll discover strange islands and face numerous powerful new adversaries.

Apart from its initial air date, the popular series “One Piece” received an early confirmation for a third season. The production will commence in Cape Town, South Africa towards the end of this year. Ian Stokes will be teaming up with Joe Tracz as the new co-showrunners.

The actors Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar will once again take on the characters of Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji in their respective roles.
