Netflix is reviving the world of the show Victorious with a new series called Hollywood Arts.
Rumors about the show started almost a year ago, and now it’s official: Netflix has ordered 26 episodes, which will be released in 2026.
Variety reports that after its debut on Netflix, the series will also be available to watch on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
Daniella Monet, known for her role as Trina Vega on the show Victorious, will be back for a new spinoff series. She’ll not only star in it, but also help produce it as an executive producer.
Filming for the series will take place in Vancouver. The story follows Trina as she returns to her former high school as a substitute teacher, despite not being fully qualified. She faces challenges with her students, but also inspires them to pursue their ambitions at a prestigious performing arts school in Hollywood.
Monet expressed how happy and grateful she is to return as Trina, especially alongside a talented new cast. She shared that ‘Victorious’ was a defining experience for everyone involved, creating a lasting bond, and she feels honored to be a part of something similar again. She’s also thrilled to be involved creatively, both as an actress and a producer, and hopes to create something truly impactful.
The new series will introduce fresh faces like Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze, and Martin Kamm, and will also include a guest appearance by Yvette Nicole Brown.
Victorious was a Nickelodeon show that ran from 2010 to 2013. It starred Victoria Justice as Tori Vega, a student at a performing arts high school in Hollywood, and followed her experiences there.
The show combined humor and music, and viewers clearly loved it – it won Favorite TV Show at the Kids’ Choice Awards in both 2012 and 2013. Even though critics didn’t always agree, the show built a dedicated following and received four Emmy nominations.
This fresh series lets fans revisit the familiar world of Hollywood Arts and meet a brand new class of students.
