Netflix might have unexpectedly pleased Bridgerton fans. A recent slip-up revealed that Season 4 of the popular show could arrive earlier than anticipated.
Following the conclusion of Season 3 in June 2024, fans are wondering when the next installment of the Bridgerton story will be released.
As a critic, I’ve been keeping a close eye on the progress of Season 4. Forbes reported some production hiccups earlier in the year, but thankfully, filming wrapped up in June. Naturally, fans – myself included – have been scouring for any clues about when we can expect the premiere. The release of a tie-in novel on January 6, 2026, really got people talking, and many of us started to wonder if the show itself might drop around the same time. It’s always exciting when these things align!
The speculation started when Netflix Netherlands mistakenly published a promotional image showing Yerin Ha as Sophie and Luke Thompson as Benedict. This image hinted that Season 4 would be released in two volumes, with the first episodes arriving on January 29, 2026, and the second on February 6, 2026. Netflix swiftly took down the poster and hasn’t verified these release dates.
If this information is correct, the new episodes will be released similarly to past seasons. The first season launched in December 2020, the second in March 2022, and the third, which was released in two parts, premiered in May and June 2024. Splitting a season into two parts appears to be a common Netflix tactic to create buzz and maintain viewer engagement between episodes. This strategy helps keep people talking about the show.
Season 4 of Bridgerton is predicted to center on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek, also known as the “Lady in Silver.” This storyline is inspired by the books written by Julia Quinn. The cast will include Luke Thompson, Yerin Ha, Katie Leung, Michelle Mao, along with returning favorites Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, and Nicola Coughlan.
It’s great news that Bridgerton is coming back, and a potential release in January 2026 is something to look forward to! Dividing the new season into two parts might help maintain fan interest and keep everyone discussing the show for a longer period. Are you excited for Season 4?
