For “The Last of Us,” there was a graphic novel, initial plans for a movie which didn’t materialize, and it eventually became a TV show. Additionally, more developments in the “The Last of Us” universe have yet to be disclosed.
He’s indicating that no more adaptations related to The Last of Us universe will be unveiled until the game has been fully developed and perfected. However, it’s unclear if by “The Last of Us announcements,” he means only a potential third game or other spin-offs as well.
