Nathan Fielder’s THE REHEARSAL Season 2 Gets a Teaser, Premiere Date

In 2022, the dark comedy series The Rehearsal, produced by Nathan Fielder (The Curse), created quite a stir among critics and viewers on HBO. The show revolves around a unique program that enables individuals to practice challenging conversations and personal encounters in advance. Interestingly, Fielder not only stars in the series but also writes, directs, and produces it. What sets these rehearsals apart is their use of professional actors and elaborate sets, which adds an extra layer of humor. HBO renewed the show for a second season that same year, but fans had to wait three long years for its premiere. Now, according to Variety, season two of The Rehearsal will be available on HBO and Max starting April 20. The network has also released a short, 35-second teaser trailer for the second season, which you can watch right here:

Here’s the official description from HBO and Max for season two of Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal:

The Rehearsal – A man named Fielder assists individuals in overcoming life’s uncertainties by staging realistic simulations for crucial life events, using a crew, actors, and abundant resources. As the second season unfolds, Fielder focuses his efforts on addressing an issue that impacts everyone, escalating the importance of his project.

It’s unclear what this “communal concern” is we’re facing, but it seems like it might turn out to be a trivial matter exaggerated beyond belief. In the first season, they constructed a bar and someone’s residence for rehearsals. We’ll see if they push the boundaries even more in season two. The second season of The Rehearsal, consisting of six episodes, premieres on HBO this Sunday, April 20th, following a broadcast of The Righteous Gemstones. Starting at 10:30 p.m. ET, new episodes will be available weekly on Max.
