Roberts celebrated her 99th birthday about a week ago on August 16th. Despite the challenges she faced following a stroke earlier in August, this was a milestone she was determined to achieve. In essence, there was one thing that her grandmother never wavered from achieving, no matter the obstacles – hosting her final family gathering. She expressed this in her writing: “She had one more goal to accomplish. Her 99th birthday!! One more party. One more family reunion.”
