‘My Mom Had an Aneurysm’: Bunnie XO Reveals Her Biggest ‘Death Scare’ Turned Out To Be a Misdiagnosis

As an ardent fan of Bunnie Xo, I must say her courage and resilience have left me utterly inspired. Her journey, marked by a misdiagnosis that could have been tragic but turned out to be a life-changing lesson, is nothing short of extraordinary.

On August 8, 2024, fashion model and podcast host Bunnie Xo revealed a very private tale during her show Dumb Blonde. She spoke about an incident where she was told she had an aneurysm – a health issue that held a significant dread due to its familial history. However, it turned out the diagnosis was incorrect. Nonetheless, this near-scare left a lasting impression on Bunnie’s view of life.

Bunnie Xo’s fear of aneurysms is deeply personal, rooted in her mother’s near-fatal rupture. The misdiagnosis of an aneurysm initially sparked intense worry and stress for Bunnie, exacerbated by a TikTok video about aneurysms that heightened her anxiety. She experienced severe head pain and, driven by fear, requested an emergency MRI scan. The initial results suggested a carotid artery aneurysm, which was distressing and led to days of crying, insomnia, and gastrointestinal issues.

Initially, I was diagnosed with an aneurysm based on the initial scan results. Yet, subsequent examinations unveiled that it was merely a minor two-millimeter blood vessel anomaly instead. Both a neurologist and a vascular surgeon have verified this discovery, assuring me that my condition poses no immediate danger to my life. This revelation offers immense relief.

As a survivor of a life-threatening health scare, I can attest to the profound impact such an event has on one’s outlook and appreciation for what truly matters in life – family and friends. My own health scare brought me closer to my husband, reinforcing our bond during this challenging time. It was a reminder of the importance of cherishing those closest to us and leaning on them when times get tough.
