‘My Life Keeps Imitating Art’: Kaley Cuoco Talks About An ‘Awkward Encounter’ That Gave Her PTSD From Blow-Dryers

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for personal stories and their implications, I find Kaley Cuoco‘s anecdote both amusing and relatable. The incident she experienced is a classic example of the unexpected moments that can happen to anyone, especially when we least expect it. Her bravery in sharing this story, even after all these years, speaks volumes about her resilience and ability to find humor in difficult situations.

Kaley Cuoco shared a peculiar incident on Late Night, where she was casually drying her hair at a hotel when an unexpected guest, whom she assumed was a staff member, entered her room. Two hours prior to her interview with Seth Meyers, she experienced something quite unusual in her hotel room.

As she was having her hair and makeup done for the show, a memory of past trauma flooded back to the Big Bang Theory actress when she saw the blow-dryer. “Hearing the blow-dryer triggered my PTSD,” she explained. Before disclosing this story, Cuoco mentioned that she had never shared it before, not even with her own family.

She remembered saying she needed to share what had transpired, and it started when she decided to use the shower while not wearing any clothes. Hearing Cuoco’s comment, the host playfully responded, “That’s the correct way to shower. Don’t blame yourself.” The actress then shared that she had dried her hair without clothing on before stepping into the shower.

In an unexpected turn of events, as I was intensely drying my hair, it seemed like a scene straight out of a commercial. Looking up to check myself in the mirror, I found a stranger in my room, which left me utterly stunned. I remember him gradually exiting the room, much like how one might encounter a bear, until I finally called out, “Sir.” This incident not only left me momentarily frozen but also deeply shaken and traumatized.

She exclaimed, “He suddenly dashed out while I was there holding a hairdryer!” Then she added, “What on earth was that? You know, I think he used to work at the hotel… I sure hope so!” Upon Meyers mentioning that this event reminded her of Cassie Bowden, her Flight Attendant character, she acknowledged it. “It seems like life keeps mirroring my art,” she joked.
