At long last, enthusiasts of My Hero Academia have received the news they’ve eagerly anticipated. Toho Animation recently unveiled a fresh trailer for the series’ eighth and concluding season, slated to debut on October 4, 2025.
Following almost a decade, the series is approaching its epic conclusion, and the latest clips suggest that the narrative will culminate in a massive confrontation.
In this rephrased version, here’s my attempt: As a devoted fan, I got an exclusive sneak peek at the climactic showdown between Deku and Shigaraki in the upcoming episode. The trailer offers a grim glimpse of the catastrophic damage wrought by their titanic clash. Yet amidst the devastation, there’s a glimmer of hope – Deku’s relentless resolve to salvage the lost boy within Shigaraki. At one point, Nana Shimura pleads with Deku to eliminate Shigaraki completely, but his unwavering compassion prevents him from giving up on him.
My Hero Academia’s Final Season has just released its latest PV!! The opening theme has also been determined!! It’s “THE REVO” by Porngrafitti. In addition to introducing new scenes, the trailer unveils the opening theme song for the finale, titled “The Revo“. This tune is performed by Porno Graffitti, a band that longtime viewers will remember as they also did the first opening theme of My Hero Academia back in 2016. Having them come back for the final opening gives the series a sense of completion and full circle moment.
The upcoming animation for the new season continues to impress, with Studio Bones pouring their heart and soul into these concluding episodes. Fans will recognize several familiar faces supporting Deku, such as his classmates, Hawks, Lady Nagant, All Might, and even his mother. Additionally, some intriguing scenes, like the one now referred to by fans as “Chekov’s volcano,” have generated additional anticipation and discussions online about potential plot twists.
The trailer was released right before the Hero x Villain Fest, ensuring ideal timing. Though some fans have been engrossed in the spin-off series Vigilantes, the grand climax for the primary narrative has commenced. After a nearly ten-year journey filled with thrilling action, hearty laughs, and tears, My Hero Academia is poised to conclude its story with a moving and high-octane finale.
