Multiversus’ Halloween event Batman skin is just .. epic

As a long-time comic book enthusiast and gaming aficionado who’s seen my fair share of cash grabs in the gaming world, I must say that Multiversus’ Halloween event has left me both disappointed and enchanted at the same time. The criticisms about the event being overly whale-driven are valid, but they shouldn’t overshadow the sheer brilliance of the Elusive Batman skin.

The Multiverse Halloween event has sparked criticism for appearing to be overly focused on revenue generation from ‘whales’, or big spenders, and being more money-grabbing than typical events in this genre. I’m not implying that the passionate Multiversus enthusiasts are wrong to voice their discontent about it.

But let none of those complaints distract us from the sheer majesty that is this event’s Elusive Batman skin:

Absolutely, that figure is none other than Batman disguised as the wealthy philanthropist Bruce Wayne, and it’s quite a spectacle! He tosses wealth around like Batarangs instead of projectiles, and his demeanor exudes an air of spoiled arrogance. If you’ve ever pondered how he manages to pull off this ruse so convincingly, this portrayal nails it perfectly. After hearing him speak, you wouldn’t imagine him capable of dressing himself without assistance, let alone being Batman.

This “elusive” skin will not be available after the Halloween event on November 15th. Skins featuring Superman as Clark Kent and Harley Quinn as Dr. Harleen Quinzel are also available, but in my opinion, the Bruce Wayne one stands out the most. You can get one of these for free using the Haunted Candy currency. While I have a preference, the final decision is entirely yours.

The irony? I’m not even a “Bat-Main” in the popular fighting game, I usually run LeBron James, because I am a huge Laker fan and the character is just fun to use. Multiversus’ monetization has earned it a lot of scorn, much of which is deserved. But underneath all that is a truly enjoyable platform fighter.
