Born on December 12, 1936, in Juneau, Alaska, Mary McGee spent part of her childhood during World War II away from home. She and her brother, Jim, were relocated to Iowa to stay with their grandparents for safety reasons.

The movie titled “Motorcycle Mary” debuted for the first time at the Tribeca Festival in June. This film delves into McGee’s early career in auto racing and offers a glimpse of her life both on the racetrack and in the wilderness while motorcycle racing.

Mary McGee made history by being the first individual, male or female, to successfully navigate the challenging Baja 500 off-road race, a renowned event held in Mexico, all on her own.

The project under consideration is being led by Haley Watson, with Lewis Hamilton, a two-time Formula 1 champion, and Ben Proudfoot, a two-time Oscar winner, serving as executive producers.
