After watching the play McNeal at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, the star of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory also recommended that others go see it if they haven’t already.

For those not familiar, Johnny Depp recently visited New York City, attending the launch of his personal interactive art display, which goes by the name “A Collection of Items.

Robert Downey Jr., known for his role as Iron Man, shared an intriguing update on Instagram. He referred to the story of McNeal as both relevant and significant, expressing his intention to bring this vision of the art world’s future to life.

As the official summary reveals, McNeal narrates the tale of Jacob McNeal, played by the actor from Tropic Thunder. This character, Jacob, is known as one of our most exceptional authors and is in the running for the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Meanwhile, the protagonist grapples with various personal hurdles, such as strained family ties with his son, the creation of a fresh literary work, and lingering resentments. Additionally, it’s hinted that Jacob McNeal harbors a profound yet potentially harmful obsession with artificial intelligence.

McNeal is currently showing for a limited time, running until November 24, 2024.
