Morgan Wallen Pleads Guilty To Chair-Throwing Incident, Faces Legal Sentence And Fine: Report

As a long-time follower of Morgan Wallen‘s career, I must say that it’s been quite a rollercoaster ride. It’s clear that he has a knack for country music, but his off-stage antics seem to be causing more headlines than his chart-topping hits.

31-year-old Morgan Wallen, well-known country singer, is set to spend a week at a DUI education facility following his arrest over a month ago due to his actions of throwing chairs. In addition to this, he will be under probation for two years – one year for each reckless endangerment misdemeanor charge and another for the payment of a fine amounting to $350 plus court fees.

On April 7th, it was alleged that Wallen had thrown a chair from a balcony overlooking Chief’s Bar in Nashville, which struck pedestrians below. Since there were Nashville police officers who observed this incident, several charges, such as reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, were brought against Wallen. Nashville authorities confirmed that two officers had seen a chair being hurled from Chief’s Bar on Broadway, and it landed on the street after falling from the rooftop of a six-story building.

In a court arrangement known as judicial diversion, Wallen admitted guilt on certain charges. This means that if he successfully completes his probation without any violations, those charges will be dropped and erased from his record. His lawyer, Worrick Robinson IV, confirmed that Wallen has cooperated with all the authorities and expressed his apologies to everyone present.

In a statement provided to People, Wallen’s legal representative shared that Wallen has been fully cooperative with the authorities over the past eight months, openly expressing apologies to everyone affected. He continues to strive to create a favorable influence through his music and charitable organization.

2023 witnessed numerous postponements in this case. However, sentencing took place on the 12th of December. It’s important to note that this is not the first time Wallen has encountered legal troubles. Back in 2020, he was taken into custody due to public intoxication.

Following the event, Morgan Wallen acknowledged his arrest through social media posts. On X, he penned, “I didn’t feel comfortable checking in publicly until I had reconciled with certain individuals. I have contacted Nashville police, my family, and the management at Chief’s. I am not proud of my actions, and I take full responsibility.” He expressed remorse for his conduct and vowed that his touring schedule would remain unchanged for his fans.
