Monster Hunter Wilds Overhauls Challenge Quests After Cheaters Broke the System

Capcom has just revealed that they will be making prompt adjustments to the operation of Challenge Quests in Monster Hunter Rise, a recent addition to the game.

Tasks known as Challenge Quests require players to defeat particular monsters using designated weapons, showcasing their abilities while competing on ranked boards within a set timeframe. However, following the integration in Title Update 1, it soon became clear that cheating was spoiling the experience for all.

Exclusive beauty prizes are being offered, however, the most scarce item can only be obtained if you rank among the top 10,000 on the leaderboard. Unfortunately, it seems like some individuals are making this challenging due to their suspicious scores that cannot be surpassed by others.

It’s great to know that issue is resolved with this latest system. Now, achieving a time under 5 minutes earns you the prestigious Mark of Mastery pendant. Meanwhile, participating in the ongoing event grants not just the Mark of Contest pendant but also the Mark of Bravery pendant.

Surely, it’s not a long-term solution, but at least Capcom seems to be taking note of the concerns voiced by the community.

The developer says that it’s also preparing to take action against the aforementioned cheaters.

Since the leaderboard isn’t as significant anymore, will you be aiming for that Mark of Mastery? Feel free to target the comments section with your insights below.
