Monster Hunter Wilds nabs Street Fighter 6’s Akuma, Chun-Li and more for a Capcom centric collab

In an unexpected turn of events, Monster Hunter Wilds, from renowned developer Capcom, is teaming up with Street Fighter 6, another Capcom creation. While this collaboration might not come as a shock to many, given that Capcom owns both franchises and can easily arrange such crossovers, it’s been hinting at it for quite some time now. The trailer revealing the partnership didn’t lack substance, as it did confirm that players will have the opportunity to dress up as Street Fighter villain Akuma.

The complete armor set, or the full-fledged armor set, offers more than just visual appeal. By donning either set, you gain the ability to employ Akuma’s exclusive items and gestures to execute his fighting techniques. Utilizing the Assisted Combo: Akuma item command grants access to a variety of combos such as Gou Hadoken and Gou Shoryuken.

Monster Hunter Wilds x Street Fighter 6 – Special Collaboration Trailer

As a dedicated fan, I can share that the weapon I choose will impact Akuma’s attack strength in Street Fighter 6. Excitingly, Capcom has revamped their Drive Impact system for this free update. Plus, my Palico can now don an adorable Blanka-Chan costume – a feature I’m thrilled about! To acquire these goodies, I need to complete the side mission called Ultimate Strength.

Additionally, you’ll find an extra feature arriving soon: a downloadable content package that allows you to style Alma in costumes inspired by Chun-Li or Cammy from Street Fighter. This DLC also includes a Blanka-Chan Doll charm, Street Fighter 6 decals, and unique gestures. Among these are iconic moves like Hadoken and Shoryuken, which not only look great but also have attack properties!

Both the update and the DLC are due out next week, May 28th.
