In Monster Hunter Wilds, tracking down the elusive Gillopod can be quite challenging for players, as Dareel’s Special Research Report provides no hint about its location. Keep in mind that discovering endemic life in this game isn’t usually a walk in the park, and the Gillopod is an even rarer mutation of the already hard-to-find Pillopod. To help you out, we’ll guide you on how to find the Gillopod in Monster Hunter Wilds below, along with instructions on catching it to finish this side quest.
How to catch the Gillopod in Monster Hunter Wilds
In the MH Wilds, you can discover the Gillopod in the Ruins of Wyveria, right next to Area 1. To find it precisely, keep an eye on the large, damaged wall to your left when descending. You’ll notice a group of many flat, purple, rectangular creatures resembling a blend of jellyfish and sea slugs adhered to the wall there. These are called Pillopods, but among them, you should spot at least one larger Gillopod that appears more blue than purple.
