As a dedicated Monster Hunter Wilds gamer, I’m pumped to share that Capcom has spilled the beans about Title Update 1’s release window! This update promises fresh content tailored for those of us who have conquered the main story and crave a tougher test. Here’s a sneak peek at what we can anticipate – more thrilling challenges await us!
Title Update 1 is scheduled for early April, which means it will be released over a month after the initial game launch. This might appear to be a considerable delay between the launch and the first update, but the official Monster Hunter X account clarifies that Capcom is providing players with ample time to gear up for the fresh content and difficulties they’ll encounter! Previously, Capcom hinted at this update during a State of Play presentation earlier this month, revealing only a general Spring 2025 release window.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom is making the game even more challenging by introducing two new, tougher monsters in Title Update 1. One of these monsters is rumored to have a strength level surpassing that of Tempered monsters. The State of Play event confirmed that Mizutsune, a monster previously seen in Monster Hunter Generations and Monster Hunter Rise, will be one of the new additions for players to hunt.
Capcom hinted on X that this update introduces a location where hunters can converse, dine together, and more with fellow players. However, they made it clear that players must first finish the storyline in Monster Hunter Rise before they can use this feature. With these new additions and challenging new monsters, Title Update 1 appears to enhance the endgame experience of Monster Hunter Rise.
On February 28, you’ll be able to dive right into the game and get ready for Title Update 1 as Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak debuts on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Enjoy!
