As Capcom moves forward with their initial free upgrade for Monster Hunter Worlds prior to its launch this week, game director Yuya Tokuda points out several additional modifications planned for the action-RPG down the line – such as tweaks aimed at maintaining balance.
On the Monster Hunter website, Tokuda has shared details about planned updates for the game Wilds. These updates include one arriving on April 4th and another scheduled for later this summer. Moreover, Tokuda hints at future changes, discussing adjustments to monsters and the game’s overall balance, focusing particularly on weapons, in light of feedback received after its launch.
According to Tokuda, Capcom is planning to make several changes to the game over time, specifically through each upcoming title update. The intention is to keep the game engaging for players for an extended period by enhancing its overall enjoyment. Notably, the Hammer, a favorite weapon among many Monster Hunter Wilds fans, is set to receive some improvements, as they are currently working on upgrading it.
For instance, Tokuda mentions that they’re thoughtfully reviewing potential enhancements for the Hammer, followed by an examination of broader weapon balance adjustments with the aim to roll out these changes in either the May update’s conclusion or the summer’s second update. Regarding balancing, it’s important to note that certain elements may receive a reduction due to being too powerful (nerfs), while other areas will be boosted for a harmonious overall update.
