Capcom has shared a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, their upcoming role-playing game. The trailer highlights the game’s stunning environments, showing how they were carefully designed using detailed concept art. It’s over four minutes long and offers a comprehensive look at the game’s world and characters.
The game showcases not just the different places you’ll visit, but also how Monsties and humans live together – you might see a group of Legianna relaxing near a castle while their riders are in a meeting. The environments are inspired by Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak, and feature characters alongside Palamutes. Some of the smaller villages are built to blend in with nature, using natural materials instead of stone.
The trailer features three unique locations: Azuria, Sheparden, and Galyad. We see a diverse range of fashion, culture, and architecture, and how each city has adjusted to its environment. Galyad, for example, is built in a desert, while Azuria appears to be located on open plains. The music also seems to change with each location, highlighting the distinct culture of each city.
A new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection recently revealed several new monsters coming to the game. It features monsters from Monster Hunter Rise and its Sunbreak expansion, including Ibushi, Narwa, and Malzeno. A monster from the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds, Ajarakan, also made an appearance. The trailer hinted at the return of Lao-Shan Lung, a classic Elder Dragon from the very first Monster Hunter game.
The trailer was shown alongside a detailed walkthrough with lead game designer Daisuke Wakahara, who explained the game’s mechanics and story. He highlighted a new feature called the Wyvernsoul Gauge, which players can use to stun monsters and ultimately unleash a powerful Synchro Rush attack.
A new trailer, voiced by Hololive English streamer Elizabeth Rose, shared more information about the gameplay and backstory of the Riders series. Rose explained that Rathalos have always been central to the stories of Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. In the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the birth of two Rathalos is predicted, and is seen as a troubling sign.
