Niantic and Capcom have declared that a second stage of the collaboration event for Monster Hunter Now, launched to celebrate the release of Monster Hunter Wilds, is set to begin. Launched in 2023, Monster Hunter Now is a game developed by Niantic that utilizes real-life locations to present monster characters for players to fight against. The terrain map within the game updates every 24 hours and offers various types of terrains, six weapon types, and 13 monsters from Capcom’s Monster Hunter series at its inception.

The upcoming game titled “Monster Hunter Wilds” is the newest installment in the series, set for launch on February 28, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms. As a sequel to 2018’s “Monster Hunter: World“, it has concluded its second open beta test, providing players with an extended period to explore the gameplay. The release date for “Monster Hunter Wilds” has also been made public, ensuring that eager Hunters can now mark their calendars and prepare to venture into the Forbidden Lands at the specified time.

In anticipation for season 5’s upcoming launch, it has been officially revealed that the Chatacabra, a monster debuting exclusively in the game world of Wilds, will be integrated into the mobile game titled Monster Hunter Now starting February 28. This marks an extension of the collaborative event between the two titles, specifically the action RPG game.

Back in January, Monster Hunter Now unveiled the initial phase of the crossover event, detailing methods for players to accumulate bonus items before the game’s release. These rewards include gift codes that can be redeemed for Mega Potions, Energy Drinks, Dust of Life, and various other items.

Monster Hunter Now Announces More Crossover Perks With Wilds

In the upcoming update for the mobile game, Arzuros and another recognizable monster will make their first appearance. Previously hinted at in the expansion for Monster Hunter Rise called Sunbreak, Glavenus is set to return to the series. Both monsters will be added to the roster once the new season starts officially. The update for season 5 brings numerous improvements to weapon types and skills, as well as a variety of new features such as a trading system that lets Hunters exchange certain materials for rewards. With the anticipation building among fans, many are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Glavenus, a beloved creature in the franchise.

Approaching the one-week mark before its release, “Monster Hunter Wilds” has already unveiled its post-launch agenda. One content addition will introduce a magnificent and formidable beast into the game roster. It’s been confirmed that “Wilds” will get a Free Title Update in Spring 2025, introducing the sinuous leviathan Mizutsune to the Forbidden Lands. This creature uses dance-like attacks and maneuvers linked to its movement, creating bubbles to command the battlefield. Furthermore, players can anticipate Event Quests dropping a week after the launch of “Wilds”.
