Monster Hunter Now introduces new Monster Outbreak feature

  • Monster Hunter Now is set to introduce a new Monster Outbreak Feature
  • A huge number of a single monster will appear in a given area
  • Team up with other hunters to slay a certain number and gain rewards

If you’re a fan of Monster Hunter Now and have felt the game’s challenges weren’t tough enough for your taste, here’s some exciting news: Niantic has been listening! The upcoming Monster Outbreak test, running from April 26th to 27th, is designed to challenge even the most experienced hunters.

Currently, the innovative feature is undergoing trials, allowing fans to try it out and offer their input. As anticipated, Monster Outbreaks involve numerous instances of a single monster appearing at a specific location. To tackle these monsters, you’ll need to be within reach and collaborate with other hunters (in groups only).

The goal is straightforward: aim for a high kill count with the objective of reaching 100. To participate, simply sign up on the roster and you’ll receive a unique hunter medal as a token of appreciation. Completing the Outbreak offers diverse rewards in the form of monster components.

Culling monsters

For the initial monster confrontation during the outbreak, it’s the eight-star Black Diablos that has been designated as the primary target. As previously mentioned, you’ll engage solely with this formidable creature throughout the entire event. The Monster Outbreaks aim to not only shake up the traditional gameplay but also offer an extended test for those confident enough to tackle it.

Feel free to share your thoughts about the new feature, either through our community forum or social media, since Niantic is keen on understanding if Monster Outbreaks will add an exciting twist to the game.
