And here’s the official synopsis for season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters:
Alongside Kong, the second season will bring back Godzilla and introduce a new, mysterious Titan called Titan X, who is now free. Titan X isn’t just another monster – it’s a force of nature capable of immense destruction. When this giant, glowing creature rises from the ocean, it’s a truly breathtaking and terrifying sight. In season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Titan X is the central mystery – an ancient power rising from the depths, with unknown intentions and unmatched strength, inspiring both wonder and fear.
The new Titan X appears to be an original creation, not inspired by any classic Toho monster movies. The series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set around 2015, before the events of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and long before Godzilla and Kong teamed up. The question remains: who will defeat Titan X? We’ll find out as the story unfolds. Monarch stars Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm. Season two will feature new cast members Takehiro Hira, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, Camilo Jiménez Varón, and Amber Midthunder, known from Prey.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season two arrives on Apple TV+ on Friday, February 27.
