Modest Mouse is a truly unique alternative band that deserves a listen. While not every song will appeal to everyone, if their sound clicks with you, it’s incredibly rewarding. Isaac Brock and the band have always stayed true to themselves, and that authenticity shines through in everything they create.
Modest Mouse is hitting the road again in 2026, but before that, you can see them at a unique event! From February 5th to 9th, they’re hosting a cruise called Ice Cream Floats with Portugal. The Man, Mannequin Pussy, and Kurt Vile and the Violators. It’s a chance to catch several alternative rock bands all in one place.
This cruise sets sail from Miami, Florida, heading to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic aboard the Norwegian Pearl. Guests can enjoy live music, and members of the band Modest Mouse will provide commentary during film screenings. Author Brock will also be reading from children’s books – but not at the same time as the movies, of course!

Okay, so I can’t make the cruise, bummer! But good news – they just announced a bunch of new spring dates for the tour, and there’s a pre-sale happening right now for fans. If you missed that, don’t worry, general tickets go on sale this Friday, January 30th, at 10 am your time. I’m setting a reminder right now!
