Eric Stonestreet, best known for his humorous roles on Modern Family as Cameron Tucker, is stepping into dramatic territory with his upcoming role in Dexter: Resurrection. According to Deadline, he will take on a significant antagonistic character named Al, inspired by Kansas City and suspected of being a serial killer.

As reported by the source, Stonestreet is set to feature in four episodes of the show, with a significant role in the plot. Notable additions to the impressive ensemble of Dexter: Resurrection include Krysten Ritter (as Mia) and Neil Patrick Harris (as Lowell), who are speculated to depict serial killers.
1) Uma Thurman, famed for her roles in Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, became the initial high-profile celebrity to officially join the cast of the show. The upcoming series, titled Dexter: Resurrection, is a continuation of the recent prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin, which draws inspiration from Jeff Lindsay’s Dexter novels.
According to the official summary, the upcoming series continues from where the miniseries Dexter: New Blood left off, following a near-fatal shootout that nearly claimed the life of the main character, Dexter. A talented ensemble cast is featured in this production, with notable actors such as David Zayas, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Peter Dinklage, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and Emilia Suárez joining the show.
Production for the series kicked off in January, with filming still underway. Clyde Phillips takes on the roles of both executive producer and showrunner. Simultaneously, Hall, who stars as Dexter, serves as an executive producer alongside Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns.
According to Deadline, Monica Raymund will take charge of four episodes, while Marcos Siega will direct six episodes in this upcoming series. The show is scheduled to debut on Paramount+ during the summer of 2025.
