Missed Clue in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Post-Credits Scene Confirms Gambit’s Survival: Could Channing Tatum Return?

As a gamer with over two decades of comic book and Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fandom under my belt, let me tell you, the latest MCU installment, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, has got me all worked up! The sheer excitement of seeing Garner’s Elektra, Snipes’ Blade, and Evans’ Human Torch grace our screens once more was a joyful experience.

As a hardcore gamer, I’ve just got to share my excitement about diving into the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster featuring Deadpool and Wolverine! This movie is breaking box office records left and right, leaving fans worldwide spellbound. A big chunk of its success lies in the introduction of various characters from different Marvel universes, adding a rich layer to the storyline that we’ve all been eagerly anticipating.

Though Garner’s Elektra, Snipes’ Blade, and Evans’ Human Torch each had satisfying endings to their tales, a character’s return hints that a new chapter could be starting for him.

Discussing Channing Tatum‘s portrayal of Gambit: For almost ten years, Tatum has been advocating for a standalone Gambit movie. However, following the shift in ownership from 21st Century Fox, these plans were put on hold indefinitely. Now, Ryan Reynolds has rekindled hope for Tatum’s Gambit, suggesting that there might be renewed prospects for Tatum to play this character in a solo film—a scenario Tatum subtly hinted at in recent interviews.

If a standalone Gambit film isn’t produced, there’s still a chance that Gambit could make an appearance in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, given the characters’ interactions in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’.

According to the Instagram account Just The Nobodys, they propose a theory about Gambit evading the Void, which implies that we might see his return in the future.

It’s hard to deny that the storyline in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was rather shallow, with numerous inconsistencies and unresolved aspects that could easily fill an entire article discussing them. Yet, the post-credits sequence may have addressed at least one of these lingering questions.

Tatum recently hinted that he’s had discussions with Feige and Iger about a solo movie, saying it’s now in “God’s hands.”

As a long-time fan of Marvel movies, I’ve dreamt of seeing my favorite characters come together on screen for years. I’ve been following the development of the MCU closely and have always hoped to see the X-Men join the Avengers. Now that Disney has acquired Fox, it feels like this dream is finally within reach. But as someone who has waited a decade for this moment, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation. Will the final product live up to my expectations? Only time will tell. Until then, I’ll keep crossing my fingers and praying that Bob Iger and Kevin Feige make it happen. I truly believe that the X-Men joining the Avengers could be a game-changer for the MCU and for me personally as a fan. Here’s to hoping that this dream becomes a reality!
