Milly Alcock Lets Loose Her Daring Side in Sultry New Photoshoot

Milly Alcock, the Australian actress gaining increasing recognition, is featured on the cover of Noise Magazine’s latest issue. She’s showcasing a stylish and confident image in Dior fashion, signaling an exciting new chapter in her career.

The photoshoot happened as Alcock geared up for a major career opportunity. In a recent interview with Noise Magazine, she discussed her role as Kara Zor-El in the new Supergirl movie. Alcock shared that this take on the character will be quite different from the typical superhero fans are used to.

The magazine reports that Alcock collaborated with writer Ana Nogueira to develop the character. They aimed to create a hero who felt authentic and imperfect. Unlike Superman, who had a happy upbringing on Earth, Kara’s past is much more troubled. Having grown up after the destruction of her home planet, Krypton, she’s naturally more reserved and skeptical.

Since gaining recognition for her role as young Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon, Milly Alcock’s career has been rapidly expanding. She’s recently taken on diverse projects, including a role in the Netflix dark comedy Sirens with Julianne Moore and Meghann Fahy, and a stage performance as Abigail Williams in The Crucible at London’s Gielgud Theatre.

Some viewers might recall seeing Alcock in a quick appearance in the 2025 Superman movie, which offered a subtle preview of her larger role within the DC Universe.

The new Supergirl movie will be released in theaters and IMAX on June 26th. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film tells the story of Kara’s space adventure, where she seeks both revenge and justice on her 23rd birthday.

The movie boasts a talented supporting cast. Matthias Schoenaerts plays the villain Krem of the Yellow Hills, and Eve Ridley portrays the young warrior Ruthye Marye Knoll. Jason Momoa joins the film as Lobo, an alien mercenary, taking on a different role within the DC Universe after his time as Aquaman.

I’m really excited about this new Supergirl movie! It’s being made by the heads of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran, and they’ve said this version of Supergirl, played by Milly Alcock, is going to be a bit different. She won’t be your typical hero – she’s more of an antihero, dealing with some really tough personal issues while also being involved in this huge, epic story. It sounds like they’re really exploring her emotional side, which I think will make her a much more compelling character.

Naomi Ackie is rapidly becoming known as one of today’s most promising young actors, with significant roles in TV, theater, and movies. She’s proving her versatility by taking on diverse characters and projects, ranging from fantasy series to action-packed superhero films.
