Millie Bobby Brown is addressing rumors about a possible bullying complaint she made against her ‘Stranger Things’ co-star, David Harbour, and clarifying their friendship.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, 21-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown spoke about her close relationship with her co-star. She said, “We both absolutely love working on this show, but our friendship means even more to us,” highlighting their years of working together.
She explained that they’ve been working together on this for the past decade, and have always been in agreement about it.
The issue began when the Daily Mail reported on November 1st that Brown had complained to Netflix about alleged bullying by Harbour, who is 50 years old. According to an unnamed source, Netflix investigated the claims, but the report stated there were no accusations of sexual harassment or wrongdoing.
The claims haven’t been proven true. According to Deuxmoi, a popular celebrity gossip account, the situation may have just been a minor mix-up with lines on set that was quickly fixed, but they couldn’t verify this information.
The report came out around the same time new details about Lily Allen’s past relationship with David Harbour surfaced in her album, drawing even more interest to the story.
Although there had been talk of a rift, Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill were both present at the Los Angeles premiere of Stranger Things season 5 on November 6th. The show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, and producer Shawn Levy, didn’t address the rumors directly.
As someone who’s been following the production, it’s really heartwarming to hear the Duffers prioritize their cast’s well-being. Ross Duffer shared with The Hollywood Reporter that after a decade working with the same actors, they’ve become like family. Honestly, he emphasized that creating a safe and happy environment on set is the most important thing to them, and that’s something I really appreciate seeing.
Netflix noted that David Harbour and Winona Ryder were together at the premiere and appeared to be getting along well.
