The news emerged mere months following their clandestine marriage in May 2024. Their nuptials were intimate yet memorable, with Brown’s fellow Stranger Things actor, Matthew Modine, presiding over the ceremony as the officiant.
Brown, currently 21 years old, and Bongiovi, 23, have been a couple since the year 2021. In just a short span of time, their bond deepened to the point of matrimony and, most recently, parenthood.
The actress frequently discusses her long-held aspiration for a family. In an interview on the Smartless podcast in 2024, she revealed that motherhood had always been included in her life’s blueprint. She mentioned during the promotion of her Netflix movie Electric State that her own mother gave birth at 21 and her father was only 19.
Ever since before I encountered Jake, it has always been part of my character. Right from when I was a child, I used to express this desire to my mother by playing with baby dolls. My aspiration was to become a mother, much like how my mother nurtured me.
Brown stated that she viewed adoption as just as significant as having biologically-born children, explaining, ‘I’ve always wanted a family, a large one since I come from a family of four. My husband does too. We plan to have a big family in the future. However, in my opinion, the difference between raising your own child and adopting is not significant.’
In an interview for the cover of “Vanity Fair” earlier this year, Brown shared details about the meaningful discussions she and Bongiovi had prior to their marriage, emphasizing that their relationship wasn’t merely based on falling in love, but rather on creating a blueprint for their future together.
She stated that they discussed their political beliefs, family aspirations, preferred living arrangements, relationship expectations, and career goals. She emphasized that this choice was significant, and they aimed to ensure it was the correct one. She confidently believed she was making the right decision, as it always felt appropriate with him.
