Production for the third season of Enola Holmes on Netflix has begun in the UK, featuring the returning cast including Millie Bobby Brown, Louis Partridge, and Henry Cavill, alongside others. Philip Barantini, who worked on Netflix’s recent popular limited series Adolescence, is set to direct this upcoming season of the cherished crime-mystery show.
Barantini is set to work on a screenplay co-authored with his collaborator Jack Thorne for a series inspired by the Enola Holmes Mysteries books penned by Nancy Springer. The story centers around Enola (Brown), the adventurous teenage detective and younger sister of Sherlock Holmes.
As I delve into the next chapter of my life, I find myself drawn to the vibrant island of Malta, where my personal and professional pursuits intertwine in an intricate dance on a captivating case. From what I’ve gathered, the journey ahead promises to be a complex tapestry of adventure, with its threads becoming increasingly entangled and fraught with peril.
Actress from Stranger Things posted a humorous video with co-star Partridge to mark the start of filming for season 3. Despite wearing everyday clothes, they both embody their characters in a sweet and endearing little video.
In her post, she stated that the production is ongoing, but it’s not without Barantini in charge. Prior to the video, the words “Enola Holmes day one” were shown on screen. So far, the series has been both critically acclaimed and commercially successful for the streaming platform.
She wrote that we’re currently producing the show, but it wouldn’t be possible without Barantini leading the way. Before the video started, “Enola Holmes day one” was displayed on screen. The series has been a hit with both critics and viewers for the streaming service up to this point.
In addition to Enola and Stranger Things, Brown has also starred in an action-adventure Netflix film called Damsel. Known for her popularity on the streaming platform, the actress will be taking on dual roles in a detective series, both acting and producing under the production company, PCMA Productions.
As a die-hard fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia, under the esteemed Legendary Entertainment, will be bringing the series to life! It’s even more thrilling to know that Jake Bongiovi, Brown’s beloved husband, will join the team as an executive producer. Isobel Richards, along with Joshua Grode for Legendary and Michael Dreyer, will also contribute their expertise via PCMA. The anticipation is real!
Although the release date for season 3 hasn’t been announced, you can currently stream seasons 1 and 2 of Enola Holmes on Netflix.
