According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mickey Rourke, age 73, is using a GoFundMe campaign to help pay a $59,100 bill and avoid losing his home in Los Angeles. The actor has given his approval for fans to contribute to the fundraising effort.
Liya Joelle-Jones, a friend and colleague of Mickey’s, created the page. She explained, “Mickey is facing a really tough situation, and it’s been wonderful to see so much support and generosity from everyone who cares about him.”
I was really shocked to learn that Jeremy Rourke got an eviction notice on December 18, 2025. He’d only moved into the place back in March 2025, and originally agreed to pay $5,200 a month in rent. Apparently, his landlord, Eric Goldie, later raised the rent to $7,000. Then, just a little over a week later, I saw on Fox News that Goldie was actually suing Rourke in court, claiming he hadn’t paid the rent and was asking for money to cover legal fees too.
By early January 2026, the GoFundMe campaign had collected $53,961 thanks to contributions from over 1,400 people. The campaign stated it had Rourke’s full support and was intended to quickly cover housing costs and avoid eviction.
The piece also detailed Mickey Rourke’s career, highlighting how he became famous in the late 1970s and 1980s. It described him as a powerful and unique presence in American film, stating, “Mickey Rourke entered American cinema like a force of nature — raw, fearless and utterly original. He wasn’t just a movie star; he represented a rare combination of danger and vulnerability, strength and compassion.”
The account went on to describe the difficulties he encountered after leaving Hollywood to become a boxer. He endured significant physical and emotional trauma from the sport, and the entertainment world quickly forgot about him. The following years were a hard struggle, focused not on fame, but simply on getting by – dealing with health problems, money issues, and the pain of being forgotten. Currently, Mickey is in a critical situation and risks losing his home.
The GoFundMe campaign explained that donations would help Mickey Rourke get back on his feet and feel more secure. The campaign description stated they simply wanted to provide him with stability and peace of mind so he could remain in his home. Every donation, large or small, would be valuable, and even sharing the campaign page would be a big help if people couldn’t contribute financially.
Last year, Jeremy Rourke caused a stir on Celebrity Big Brother UK after a heated argument with Chris Hughes. The show’s producers considered Rourke’s remarks to be unacceptable and immediately removed him from the competition, describing them as “offensive and threatening.”
