As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for family dynamics and intergenerational bonds, I must say that Michael Keaton‘s experiences with his grandchildren are truly heartwarming. His ability to connect with both River and Maggie on their individual interests showcases a deep understanding of his grandkids’ personalities.
Michael Keaton cherishes every moment he spends with his grandkids, River and Maggie, whom he deeply admires. During an interview for his newest project, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the actor shared some insights into these precious family moments.
In a chat with People Magazine, Michael Keaton, famously known for his role in Batman Returns, disclosed his enthusiasm for participating in fresh activities with his grandkids each time they get together. He mentioned that River, one of his grandchildren, enjoys sports-oriented activities, while Maggie is fond of makeup and decorating things. Additionally, Keaton humorously added that River likes painting his nails and putting items on his face.
In a conversation with the media outlet, Keaton mentioned that his grandkids are usually too energetic for shared dinners with him. He explained that he enjoys spending one-on-one time with each of them as they tend to stick together most of the time.
Regarding the younger one, Keaton mentioned that occasionally he spends time alone with her. She often stays overnight at his place by herself, and they sometimes go out for dinner, which he always looks forward to. However, she seems uninterested in this, while he is always enthusiastic about dining out.
Apart from both being referred to as such, Maggie was also labeled as the humorous one among the duo, with additional descriptions like “unusual” and “inquisitive”. The Beetlejuice star further mentioned, “She has a knack for observing people and understanding them. She enjoys painting my nails and applying cosmetics on me.
Instead of his sister, the river has a different preference – he enjoys venturing outside for activities like playing with a ball or spending time watching sports with his grandfather. To clarify about Sean’s older child, Keaton stated that anything they engage in revolves around sports. He continued by saying, “I don’t train him specifically, but I’m always present at his matches. We often watch games on TV together, attend a Lakers game, or a Pirates game, or even a Steelers game.
Keaton deeply cherishes his two grandkids and can’t stop talking about them. The Speedster actor often brings both kids along for car rides, letting the road decide their destination. He shared, “Yes, absolutely. It’s wonderful. I adore it. It’s terrific. I’m at a loss for words to describe how good it is. People might grow weary of my stories.” He further added, “I’m behind the wheel, driving, with them in the back seat. We’re heading somewhere… I take them everywhere with me.
Simultaneously with his professional engagements, Michael Keaton once again took on the character of Beetlejuice for the film’s sequel, a follow-up to the original 1988 movie, that hit theaters on September 6.
