As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Metroid Prime 4, which was first announced back in 2017 at E3. Over the years, updates about this highly-anticipated title have been scarce, leaving us all guessing about its progress. However, a glimmer of hope is on the horizon: South Korea’s ratings board has recently classified Metroid Prime 4, suggesting that its launch could be just around the corner!
The game was given a rating of 12+ because it contains some mild violence, which is consistent with what you might find in a sci-fi shooter. The description on the website suggests that the game could be Metroid Prime 3: Corruption’s hint at a future showdown between Samus and Sylux. Additionally, the special ending of Metroid Prime: Federation Force seems to connect to the beginning of Metroid Prime 4, as it shows Samus and Sylux meeting at a Galactic Federation research station.
In 2019, the game’s creation process was restarted because the previous work didn’t meet Nintendo’s expectations for quality.
As a thrilled gamer, I’m excitedly looking forward to the upcoming release of the game – possibly in the latter half of 2025, given the March 2025 trailer unveiling. Not only will it be available on the current Nintendo Switch, but also on the next-gen Switch 2! The upgraded version promises a higher resolution, smoother frame rates, and an intriguing option to utilize mouse controls via the innovative Joy-Con 2 controllers. Can’t wait for this gaming adventure!
