The long-awaited return of Samus Aran now has an official release date! According to Nintendo’s announcement, the latest installment in the Metroid Prime series titled “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” is set to launch for both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2 on December 4, 2025.
At today’s Nintendo Direct, I was thrilled to learn about the upcoming installment in the Metroid series! Alongside a fresh glimpse at the game, we saw Samus cruising on a futuristic motorcycle. This new chapter promises a return to the first-person perspective, but it’s not just the motorbike that’s exciting – Samus is also being equipped with psychic abilities to take down her adversaries!
Now that the official launch date has been revealed, supporters of the series can breathe a sigh of relief, having spent months worrying about potential further delays, a concern that could have further complicated its already challenging production timeline.
Nintendo plans to introduce Amiibo figures of Samus and Samus riding her iconic bike, Vi-O-La, approximately a month prior to the game’s release date. Additionally, they will unveil an Amiibo figure for Samus’ adversary Sylux at the same time as the game launches.
