This gathering brought forth fresh information and unveilings about their upcoming games and intellectual properties. One such revelation that caught my eye was the announcement of a new multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and it certainly looks captivating!
The title of the latest addition is Fox Hunt, as announced by Konami, and they describe it as taking place within the same universe as the primary narrative of Metal Gear Solid Delta. Unlike previous iterations of Metal Gear Online in past releases, this is an entirely new game mode. It’s reported to offer a distinctly different gameplay experience compared to the main story.
In a game called Fox Hunt, participants will engage in an intense version of hide-and-seek, where they can blend seamlessly with their surroundings, regardless of what those surroundings may be. During the unveiling event, few specifics about the mode were disclosed. As a gamer, I’m thrilled about Konami’s recent announcement of Fox Hunt mode! Not only that, but they’ve hidden Secret Theater videos throughout the game for us to find. These videos serve as collectibles and sometimes you’ll even come across tapes carried by enemy characters, collecting which grants access to these videos. They’ve added exclusive Secret Theater videos just for Metal Gear Solid Delta, along with scenes from the initial release too!
The game titled “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater” will make its debut on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms on the 28th of August, 2025.
