The official description for The Devil Wears Prada 2 reveals that Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are all returning to their roles as Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel, almost 20 years after the original film. The sequel is set in New York City and at Runway Magazine, continuing the story that captivated audiences in 2006. However, like the new trailer, the synopsis doesn’t reveal much about the plot. We do learn that Anne Hathaway’s character, Andy, is now a Features Editor – a key role at any magazine.
Currently, Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda, doesn’t seem to recognize Andy, or anything else for that matter. It’s unclear if this is a case of temporary memory loss or simply a cold attitude. We’ll have to watch and find out! We’re excited to see anything Meryl Streep does with The Devil Wears Prada 2, and we’re also happy to see Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci returning. You can get a first look at them in the new teaser trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Early reports suggested the potential sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, would focus on Miranda Priestly and her magazine struggling with the challenges facing the print publishing industry. The story might even involve Andy being the only one with the resources to help. We’ll have to wait and see if the next trailer confirms these details. Until then, we can still enjoy Meryl Streep’s fantastic performance without knowing much about the plot.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 releases on May 1, 2026.
