A multitude of individuals are voicing their thoughts regarding Meghan Markle’s Netflix series titled “With Love, Meghan.” Interestingly, even Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, has added his perspective to the mix.
In simpler terms, the father of the actor from Suits shared with the Daily Mail that his deceased mother, Doris, deeply cherished her grandchild. However, the statements attributed to Meghan Markle might not align with how Doris would have felt about such matters.
For those unfamiliar, on the show, Meghan corrected Mindy Kaling when she referred to her as ‘Meghan Markle’, as she now identifies herself as a “Sussex”. On this topic, Thomas revealed to the media that his mother held Meghan in high regard but would likely feel disheartened to learn that the former actress prefers not to use the family name.
He stated that Doris takes pride in being a Markle, just as he does, expressing that his daughter had no problems with their last name until she encountered her present spouse – Prince Harry. Further, he mentioned that now he must acknowledge himself as the father of Meghan Sussex.
Speaking about Meghan’s project, her father admits that he hasn’t watched the full show yet, but he has viewed several videos and read numerous accounts about it. He hinted that he might catch up on it at some point in time, but expressed uncertainty about it.
As Thomas explains, his daughter finds her character on the show seems insincere, expressing that cooking shows lack excitement unless the host genuinely loves what they’re doing.
Thomas shared with the media outlet that maintaining people’s interest requires being genuine. He explained to the publication, “When preparing the turkey, it should seem like you’re enjoying the process. Sadly, Meghan has never embodied authenticity. Everything she does seems calculated. She lacks spontaneity.
He added that every event is prearranged and familiar to him, which caused him to chuckle since he recognized his daughter’s features and facial expressions.
Thomas mentioned that he can tell when Meghan is feigning authenticity for the camera, as she strives excessively for perfection. This effort often makes her appear tense whenever the camera is focused on her.
Additionally, he stated, “Great chefs are often humorous, prone to mistakes, and relatable as humans. On the other hand, she strives for perfection. It’s unfortunate, as her efforts to maintain fame are admirable but overly demanding.
Ever since Meghan’s new show premiered online, I’ve noticed a steady stream of criticism from internet users across different social media channels.
