As an ardent fan of the inspiring duo, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, I find myself constantly in awe of their resilience, grace, and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Their recent visits to bookstores and seminars have only reinforced my admiration for them.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has been turning to books for solace as she addresses the issue of online harassment at various meetings. Lately, she’s paid visits to two recently established bookshops and accessorized with a stunning new diamond necklace.
In their public appearances together, Meghan Markle (the actress from Suits) shared experiences of online harassment, which led her and Prince Harry to focus on assisting others via their charity, the Archwell Foundation.
Beyond simply enjoying reading themselves, Prince Harry and Markle actively encourage their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to develop a love for books too. In past interviews, they’ve shared some of the favorite children’s books that have piqued the interest of their young ones.
At the bookstore event shared with Oprah Winfrey, Markle expressed that her love for reading, cultivated since childhood, significantly influenced her career in literature.
In addition, she mentioned that when she enters a store’s children’s section, her immediate thought is often “Wow, it starts so early, doesn’t it?” During her speech, she also emphasized that finding representation and understanding you’re not alone in your experiences can be encapsulated by saying “It’s reassuring to feel recognized, and to know that someone else shares your story.
In her latest journey to Colombia, alongside the Duke of Sussex, Meghan Markle expressed her ideas about safeguarding children from internet harassment.
I firmly believe in setting an example for the children we’re raising and the world they inhabit, regardless of where life takes us. The circumstances may differ, but the principles remain constant. You or someone you know has likely been affected by online issues, which is a problem we can actively address each day to find solutions.
At the seminar, Harry chose to share details about his Archwell Foundation. He expressed, “Through our Archwell Foundation, my wife and I strongly feel that every individual deserves the right to accurate information.
Since the Sussexes departed from Buckingham Palace in 2020 (previously being part of the British royal family), they’ve faced criticism and negative comments online due to their choice.
