The first episode of Medalist showcases Tsukasa Akeuraji, a previous ice dancer who’s now employed at a rink overseen by his former partner, Hitomi Takemine. As events unfold, he discovers 11-year-old Inori Yuitsuka skating without having paid for her session.
In a local park, Inori revealed that her ambition to become a figure skater is strictly prohibited by her mom. Tsukasa offered support by disclosing some coach contacts, but was surprised when Inori discussed these contacts with Hitomi the following day, along with her mother who was planning to force her to give up skating.
Later on, Tsukasa realized Inori’s inherent talents and managed to convince Inori’s mother to allow him to train her. It is anticipated that Episode 2 of Medalist will feature Tsukasa and Hitomi encouraging Inori to undergo the Badge Test, a crucial examination for gaining eligibility to compete.
On the day of the competition, Inori will run into a breathtakingly beautiful girl adorned in a regal outfit at the event location. This initial encounter marks the beginning of numerous fresh hurdles and rivalries as Inori embarks on her skating journey under Tsukasa’s tutelage within the cutthroat world of figure skating.
On Sunday, the 12th of January, 2025, Medalist Episode 2, titled “Beginner Badge Test”, is set to be aired at 1:30 AM (Japan Standard Time). In Japan, you can catch it on TV Asahi during their NUMAnimation block, CS TV Asahi, and BS Asahi.
