As a long-time fan of Cartoon Network and the shows it once proudly hosted on its beloved platform, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of melancholy at the news that CartoonNetwork.Com has been shut down by Warner Bros. Discovery. It was more than just a website to us; it was a portal to countless hours of laughter, adventure, and camaraderie with friends old and new. The site’s demise feels like the end of an era, one that will leave an indelible mark on my childhood and beyond.
Max’s assurance that we could still watch our favorite Cartoon Network series on their platform seemed promising at first, but as 2025 begins, it has become clear that the removal of shows like Teen Titans Go!, Ed, Edd n’ Eddy, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, The Looney Tunes Show, Static Shock, and even Teen Titans Go! To the Movies has left a gaping hole in our streaming lineup.
The sudden removal of these shows from Max’s platform feels like a slap in the face for fans who have been loyal to the channel, especially given the recent trend of content removals and cancellations we’ve seen in the industry. It’s hard not to feel like we’re being taken for a ride, with no end in sight.
Thankfully, some of these shows can still be found on other streaming platforms like Hulu and Prime Video, but it feels disheartening that purchasing access to them has become necessary in an age where subscription costs are already sky-high. It’s like we’re being asked to pay for the privilege of revisiting our favorite childhood memories.
Still, I hold out hope that one day, these shows will find their way onto physical media, allowing us to revisit them whenever we please without the constant fear of them disappearing overnight. Until then, I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed and try not to let the loss of CartoonNetwork.Com get me too down.
On a lighter note, I can’t help but wonder: if our favorite shows are being taken away from us one by one, what’s next? Will Netflix cancel That ’90s Show, or will Hulu pull The Simpsons from its lineup? The possibilities are endless! Let’s just hope that our beloved animated series don’t meet the same fate as the Dodo bird.
In a disappointing turn of events, many people were disheartened when CartoonNetwork.com was closed down by Warner Bros. Discovery. This site wasn’t just about watching our beloved Cartoon Network shows; it was part of our internet history. Losing it felt like losing a piece of our past. Max assured us that we could still watch our favorite Cartoon Network series on their platform, but as 2025 arrived, some of these shows mysteriously disappeared from Max. Although content changes are common on streaming services, the absence of classic Cartoon Network titles such as “Teen Titans Go!” leaves us with a sense that an era has come to an end.

THAT ’90s SHOW Canceled at Netflix, Will Not Get Season 3
It’s worth noting that season eight of “Teen Titans Go!” is still accessible on Max, featuring episode number 400 – a significant milestone for the Cartoon Network series! However, it appears unusual to keep just one season of a series with 400 episodes while many earlier ones are streamed elsewhere. Yet, in the realm of streaming, everything goes as planned. Regrettably, animated shows often seem to be the first to be phased out, but history has shown us that no show is completely immune.
We are once again asking for all series to be released on physical media! Thank you.
