Actor Matthew Lillard unexpectedly spoke out against ICE during a Halloween movie screening of the original Scream. He urged the crowd to vote and prioritize love.
Speaking at a gathering at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Lillard passionately addressed the crowd, saying, “F ICE. Right now, in this city, we need to prioritize love. Don’t lose sight of that – it’s not about being political, it is being political.” His words were greeted with enthusiastic applause.

Lillard encouraged attendees to support California’s Proposition 50, which would change how congressional districts are drawn to remove seats unfairly benefiting the Republican party in Texas. He emphasized the importance of voting, stating, “We have to vote. If we don’t, things will get worse, and I won’t apologize for that.”
Many fans remember Matthew Lillard for his memorable performance as Stu Macher in the 1996 horror hit Scream, which started a popular movie series. He played one of the killers alongside Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis. The film also featured a star-studded cast including Drew Barrymore, Neve Campbell, Rose McGowan, Courtney Cox, Jamie Kennedy, and David Arquette.
Damian Lillard will be back for Scream 7, which is coming out on February 27th from Spyglass and Paramount. It’s currently unknown how he’ll return as his character, Stu, seemingly died in the original Scream – Sidney Prescott dropped a TV on his head, and he faked stab wounds with Billy to throw people off the trail about who Ghostface was targeting.
