Matt Kalil, a former NFL player, is suing his ex-wife, model Haley Kalil, because of statements she made during an online livestream last November. The comments, which quickly spread online, revealed private information about their previous relationship.
Okay, so things got really awkward on Marlon Garcia’s livestream. Haley Kalil basically revealed a super personal reason for her divorce from Matt Kalil – she said his, uh, size was a big issue, comparing it to ‘two Coke cans, maybe even a third!’ She even went on to say being intimate with him was so painful it left her in tears. It was a pretty shocking moment, honestly, and definitely not the kind of thing you expect to hear on a live show.
According to court filings obtained by TMZ Sports, Matt Kalil states that a livestream revealed extremely personal details about his body and sex life. He claims this led to unwanted public attention and invasive comments. Kalil also alleges that his wife, Keilani Asmus, began receiving more and more disturbing and alarming messages because of the livestream.
As a movie lover, I’ve been following this case, and it’s pretty interesting. The lawsuit claims Haley Kalil actually profited from the whole thing, saying she got a lot more views, followers, and made money through social media and media attention. Her ex, Matt Kalil, is suing for over $75,000, claiming a violation of his privacy and that she unfairly benefited from the situation, and he wants a jury to decide.
Haley Kalil told TMZ she was truly shocked and deeply hurt by the lawsuit. She also said that going to court is a very difficult and upsetting process, and she’s devastated he’s putting her and their families through this.
She didn’t respond directly to the criticism, but pointed out that she had spoken positively about her ex-husband during the live broadcast. She called him “the greatest guy in the world” and talked about the “love, growth, and deep connection” they shared during their marriage.
I was really surprised to learn that Matt Kalil, the former NFL player, went through a divorce. He and Haley were married for seven years, from 2015 to 2022, but it didn’t last. It’s good to see he’s found happiness again, though – he remarried in 2024 and now has a little one, a one-year-old son, with his new wife.
