‘Masters of the Universe’ First Look Drops Ahead of Trailer

Fans are getting a first look at Amazon’s upcoming Masters of the Universe series! A short teaser was just released, with the full trailer coming out tomorrow, hinting that the Power of Grayskull is almost here.

Watch below.

First Footage Teases Classic He-Man Transformation

The brief 30-second trailer shows Nicholas Galitzine as Adam with his friends—like Camila Mendes as Teela, and the impressive CGI character Battle Cat. It ends with Adam lifting the Sword of Power, hinting at his change into He-Man.

The series boasts technologically advanced armor, sleek, futuristic spacecraft, and plenty of blaster-filled action, creating a visually impressive, high-tech sci-fi world for Eternia.

Idris Elba is also shown off as Man-At-Arms.

Amazon’s preview shows a fresh take on the story, but it still looks and feels like the original 1980s version, especially in its costumes and props, which clearly draw inspiration from the classic toys and cartoon series.

Release Info

Okay, so I just got a first look at details for the new Masters of the Universe movie. It’s being directed by Travis Knight, who I really admire for his work on Bumblebee and Kubo and the Two Strings. Nicholas Galitzine is taking on the role of Prince Adam/He-Man, and Camila Mendes will be playing Teel. Mark your calendars, folks – it’s hitting theaters on June 5, 2026.

Nicholas Galitzine stars as Prince Adam, who transforms into He-Man, and Jared Leto plays the villain Skeletor. The film also features Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, and Kristen Wiig providing the voice for Roboto. Completing the cast are Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, and Stephen Adentan as Moss Man.

Leto plays Skeletor, leading the villains, which also include Evil-Lyn played by Alison Brie, Trap Jaw played by Sam C. Wilson, Tri-Klops played by Kojo Attah, and Goat Man played by Hafthor Bjornsson.

James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley star as King Randor and Queen Marlena. Joining the cast are Sasheer Zamata as Suzie and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.
