In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, if neither brute strength nor diplomacy are viable solutions, then perhaps stealth could prove effective. While sneaking is not the noble path a knight would typically take, in times of necessity, it’s a skill that might help you accomplish your objectives.

In the game KCD2, Henry isn’t naturally an expert thief at birth, but he may possess some degree of stealth and deception abilities based on your initial character selection. However, to further enhance these skills, you should focus on developing his Stealth proficiency, which can be done efficiently and swiftly as follows:

1. Complete quests that involve stealthy approaches or sneaking around undetected. These missions will provide opportunities for Henry to practice and improve his Stealth skill.

2. Engage in activities like picking locks, climbing walls, and avoiding patrolling guards to hone your character’s Stealth abilities.

3. Regularly visit trainers who specialize in Stealth to receive lessons and increase Henry’s skill level more rapidly.

4. Equip items that boost Stealth, such as the Thief’s Gloves or the Silent Footwear, to enhance your character’s stealth capabilities.

5. Explore the game world for hidden chests and loot, which often require a high level of Stealth to locate and retrieve. This will not only provide valuable rewards but also give you more opportunities to practice your thieving skills.

How to Get Stealth XP in KCD2

Stealth Experience (XP) is mostly earned by moving quietly near Non-Player Characters (NPCs). Merely hiding behind a villager and trailing them around town won’t yield sufficient XP. To earn XP, you should track individuals while staying concealed on private property. Moreover, opening locks, pocketing items from NPCs, and subduing targets stealthily will also grant you XP.

When it comes to enhancing your Stealth skills effectively, try moving close to Non-Player Characters (NPCs) and unlocking locks. Compared to other methods, these actions are relatively safer and simpler to execute.

Sneaking

To earn Stealth Experience Points (XP), sneak into forbidden zones such as inner rooms within Trosky Castle or private residences of any citizen. However, if you prefer a safer method to obtain Stealth XP, head straight to Bozhena’s hut in the Trosky region.

Outside the herb-woman’s cottage stands a harmless boar. Squat down and stealthily trail it from behind, and your Stealth skill will gradually improve. Simply circling around it while crouched walking will earn you experience points. Continue this until you achieve your desired Stealth level (or until you grow tired of it).

If you want to remain unseen while sneaking, lower your Conspicuousness stat.

Lockpicking

In King’s Bounty 2, you’ll find a chest in Lower Semine where you can hone your lockpicking skills. During the quest titled “Wedding Crashers”, chat with Miller Kreyzl in Lower Semine, and he’ll share some fundamental knowledge about thievery with you.

In the course of your adventure, you might reach a stage where a chest no longer grants any more experience points for you. If that’s the case, it’s time to leave that chest behind and consider an alternative activity such as burglary. Wait for nighttime when everyone is asleep, then use your lockpicking skills on their homes. You can choose to take items if you wish, but be aware that stealing may attract guards and a crowd of disgruntled villagers. If you prefer to avoid such encounters, focus solely on lockpicking. Additionally, you could attempt pickpocketing the sleeping homeowners for some additional experience points.
