In The First Berserker: Khazan, the energy known as Otherworldly Vitality serves as Khazan’s healing resource when his health gets low. At the onset of every mission, there is a predetermined quantity of these available, and they can be restored by interacting with the Nexus of Blades. Initially, players begin with three healings to employ during the early missions. Throughout the game, players may come across enhancements for Otherworldly Vitality, either concealed behind a barrier or clearly visible. For those who might have missed any upgrades, their locations are listed below for reference.
Throughout the missions, players can discover five enhancements for Netherworld Energy, boosting your overall amount to eight. But if you want to raise it further, you can do so by using the Ashen Wolf armor set, which can be crafted at the Blacksmith, or the Fallen Star’s Set, a bonus for those who pre-ordered the game. This will take your total up to nine.
To obtain another Netherworld Energy, make sure you have equipped all five parts of the armor set. Once you’ve done this, you will fulfill the condition necessary for the set’s properties.
All Netherworld Energy Locations In The First Berserker: Khazan
Netherworld Energy Upgrade #1 – Forgotten Temple
To locate your initial Netherworld Energy upgrade, proceed through the third mission until you come across the “Forgotten Temple Entrance” (Blade Nexus) within the ruins of Embars. Ascend the stairway, and you’ll eventually find yourself in a hall where you’ll meet Dragonkin foes for the first time. Overcome the trio of enemies who appear to be worshipping what appears to be a suspended Dragonkin relic hanging overhead.

After handling the situation, proceed by climbing the correct staircase and swiftly make a right turn at the top to pass through a tiny gate. There, you’ll encounter two Dragonkin archers that need to be handled. Then, descend towards the Bard, who is delighting everyone with his enchanting melody. You can buy various items from him, including the Primeval Regression Orb.
Following that, rotate around, and a short distance to your left, you’ll come across a radiant artifact – it’s the Netherworld Energy enhancement, accompanied by an Earth Enhancer.
Netherworld Energy Upgrade #2 – Strange Stench
Directly approach the ladder located within the ruins of the Mine (Blade Nexus), nestled in Skoffa Cave, and ascend it. Be wary of a cluster of bats that may attempt to disrupt your ascent. Navigate along the wooden beam and descend onto a wooden plank where spiders can be observed. Address the spiders and proceed forward to walk across another wooden beam situated on the opposite side.
Climbing that beam once more, keep a sharp eye out for another batch of bats coming from the right side. To nab that elusive second Netherworld Energy boost, take a detour to the left when you cross paths with them.
Netherworld Energy Upgrade #3 – Devoured Village
Descend the ladder from the Underground Water Facility (Blade Nexus) in El Ravaca Village. If you choose, bypass the Revenant Devourer and head directly towards the ladder ahead to gain entry into the tunnel. Once you’ve exited the tunnel, take the path leading straight to open a shortcut for the Blade Nexus before proceeding left on the main path.
Navigate along the left-hand wall, keeping it on your side, until you come across a room where there are two spiders and something glowing in the distance. Take care of the spiders and collect the items – you’ll find a Lightning Enhancer and a Netherworld Energy upgrade.
Netherworld Energy Upgrade #4 – Atlante the Precise
Navigate towards the shattered remains known as the “Destroyed Ruins” (or Blade Nexus), nestled within Wastus Canyon. Upon conversing with Bellerian, venture forth to encounter an infamous Undead Warrior’s spectral shadow and its elite counterpart nearby. Overcome them both; remember to strike again once they’re downed to ensure they don’t resurrect. Proceed ahead and you’ll notice a vase standing next to it, with the glowing reward sitting out in the open. This prize will grant you the fourth enhancement for your Netherworld Energy.
Netherworld Energy Upgrade #5 – The Vow
Advance in the Bonus Mission until you find the “Forbidden Passage” located within the “Great Temple Underground Ruins” (Blade Nexus). Stick to the primary route, and you’ll encounter a powerful enemy along the way. Defeat it and proceed through the openable door. Continue moving forward until you reach an intersection. Disregard the path on your left and move right instead, leading you to a chamber with some strong foes. Eliminate them, then continue on the main route again until you hit another intersection.
Keep going in the bonus mission, find the “Forbidden Passage” in the “Great Temple Underground Ruins.” Stick to the main path, defeat a tough enemy, and enter through an openable door. Continue ahead until you see a fork in the road; ignore the left path and go right instead. You’ll come across some powerful enemies along the way – defeat them, then continue forward again at the next fork.
To get to a Jarling, take the path on your left as the primary one lies there. Keep moving along this main path until you stumble upon a room containing an Undead Ice Archer and two Undead Shieldbearers. If you stay close to the left wall, you’ll discover a glowing item – it’s your fifth and last upgrade for Netherworld Energy.
