Marvel’s Vision Series: AIs Now Just Cheap Humans!

Reports suggest that Marvel’s forthcoming “Vision” series may be economizing on visual effects by frequently depicting its artificial intelligence characters as humans, rather than their usual robotic forms.

The scoop comes from Daniel Richtman and confirms what I told you: the MCU is officially broke.

Returning Androids and AI: But Not How You Remember Them

Previously mentioned reports suggest that the upcoming series will include recurring characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who are androids and AI, such as Jocasta and EDITH, but these characters won’t appear as traditional robots in appearance.

Born Again, Agatha, and Echo.

The lineup features Paul Bettany as Vision, James Spader as Ultron, T’Nia Miller portraying Jocasta, Emily Hampshire in the role of E.D.I.T.H., Kerry Condon as F.R.I.D.A.Y., James D’Arcy playing Edwin Jarvis, with Ruaridh Mollica taking on Tommy Maximoff/Speed and Faran Tahir as Raza.

Daniel RPK claims that Marvel plans to depict the artificial intelligence characters in the “Vision” series as taking human form throughout the show for budget reasons related to reducing CGI and visual effects costs. While he suggests this is done to speed up the release of the series in 2026, it seems highly unlikely and more like an exaggeration or false claim.

Tony Gilroy Said Disney+ Is Broke

Tony Gilroy directly stated that Disney spent approximately $650 million on the series Andor, which has left them financially strapped. He made this comment during the production of Season 2, noting that Disney informed him, “Streaming has reached its expiration, we no longer have the funds we once had.

In accordance with Gilroy’s statement, exactly 24 hours after, Disney unveiled a significant reduction in workforce and budget cuts, particularly affecting the marketing departments of its television and film entertainment divisions.

Budgets slashed, content reduced

Previously, Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, has indicated a reduction in the production of both Marvel and Star Wars content. At present, one of the upcoming projects for Star Wars on Disney+ is the second season of “Ahsoka”.

Marvel is slated to release two additional projects, which are likely to be shows centered around characters like Ironheart and Wonder Man, as well as a second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Photos from the set suggest that budget reductions have taken place for this upcoming series.
