I’ve recently joined the ranks of the X-Men, and it seems my unique powers might just give us the edge we need to shape our destiny. The latest chapter introduces me, Jennifer Starkey, a mutant whose abilities could redefine the team’s future.

Contrary to Darwin, who can adapt to various environments, Jennifer exhibits an extraordinary capability. She possesses the unique power to modify her own genetic makeup on demand, instantaneously adapting herself to any given situation.

In issue #11 of the X-Men comic series penned by Jed MacKay, it is demonstrated that Jennifer possesses the ability to adapt her physique to endure various surroundings. To illustrate this, when she contemplated leaping into water, her body underwent a transformation to take on an aquatic form.

In the same manner, as soon as she visualized growing feathers, they materialized. Contrastingly, Darwin often finds it challenging to manage adaptations, but Jennifer has the ability to do so at will.

Her skills significantly surpass those of Darwin, as Darwin’s abilities do have certain limitations. Although Darwin can develop extraordinary traits such as growing gills underwater and enhancing night vision in darkness, he doesn’t always maintain full control over these powers.

She is better than Darwin because while Darwin can do amazing things like grow gills or see in the dark, sometimes he can’t control what he can do.

To clarify, Darwin once ran away due to the Hulk, as his genetic alteration didn’t provide a means for survival in that form. On the other hand, Jennifer possesses mastery over her metamorphosis, which could make her a formidably strong mutant.

Her capacity for evolution stems from an experiment conducted by the character Cassandra Nova, who has been dedicated to producing “flawless mutants.” It’s plausible that Jennifer’s transformation is connected to Nova’s ambitions, suggesting her abilities are not only impressive but potentially part of a broader strategy.

Jennifer’s abilities aren’t fully developed at this point, but with the support of the X-Men, she has the possibility to outshine other mutants categorized as Omega-level.

Her swift knack for adjusting and mastery of her skills hints that she could potentially outshine Darwin and emerge as one of the strongest mutants the team has encountered. Under Cyclops’ guidance, Jennifer Starkey’s future appears exceptionally bright.
