As a die-hard Marvel fan who has spent countless hours immersed in the universe, I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of a video game set directly within the MCU. If the rumors are true, this would be a game-changer (pun intended), allowing us to experience the world of Wakanda, Asgard, and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a way that no other game has managed before.

For years, I’ve been immersed in video games that bring the Marvel Universe to life, letting me don the mantle of my cherished Avengers, Spidey, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, along with a host of other iconic characters I hold dear.

These games span a diverse range of genres and play styles, with varying degrees of success.

So far, there hasn’t been a video game that immerses players directly within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). All games linked to the MCU up until now have been set in a parallel universe, where players don’t interact with the actual universe depicted in the films and series.

2022 saw a revelation from EA and Marvel Studios about an Iron Man video game, which was said to be in its early stages of development.
